I’ve lived in Louisana my whole life, so I know what gumbo should taste like. I lazily used this instead of making a roux from scratched once, and I haven’t stopped since. Even without adding a bunch of other stuff it’s always delicious and everybody loves it! This is definitely making BR Proud!

Real Cajun girl here, and this is delicious for days I don’t want to make roux from scratch! I use 1/2 bag of this mix, my trinity veggies, 2 lbs frz okra, 2-3 lbs meat, & 4 c. water, and pressure-cook for 15 minutes. While that’s going, I cook my rice, and bam: a gumbo dinner that everyone wants second helpings. It’s hardly spicy-hot, so you can adjust heat with cayenne or Tabasco.
I didn’t have high hope for this gumbo mix, especially not after trying about 4 other products in the supermarkets that were just horrible. But this was Amazing!! The family Loved it!!
