The Cajun Spoon Jambalaya
I’m from Baton Rouge but currently live in Canada. I was back home visiting my family, and decided to bring Jambalaya in a box back to some friends who were asking about it. I bought it because (1) there wasn’t any tomato ANYTHING listed in the ingredients, and (2) all natural, NO MSG. Was I ever so surprised at how tasty it was! It was like I had slaved away for hours cooking it in a huge cast iron pot! My dinner guests couldn’t believe that it came from a box. This is hands down the best jambalaya I’ve ever had from a box. Can’t even tell. Please don’t stop making it. As I type this, my mom is shopping for more to send to me. :D
Look at the packaging compared to almost any other jambalaya mix. We get this because it tastes great without the extra fillers, 360mg of sodium per serving compared to 880mg of sodium per serving...we'll choose the cajun spoon everytime.
it was great gumbo the last time i tried it and is still great stuff.
I love the Shrimp and Corn Bisque, made it for friends the other night and they thought it was great!
Just tried the jambalaya mix! It was great! But SO easy to make. Of course, I did cheat and use the remains of a Rotisserie Chicken from Sams and some leftover sausage I had grilled the previous day. Just cut up the meat and added it to the water and Cajun Spoon Jambalaya Mix and in 25 minutes dinner was ready!
