2 1/2 lbs. All Natural Ground Turkey 85/15 2 and 1/2 Pounds Pre Drained
1 - 25 oz. Jar Original Heart Smart Sauce
2 cups 1 Medium to Large Sweet Onion Diced 1/4" About 2 Cups
1 Whole Medium to Large Carrot Diced 1/4"About 1/2 Cup
1 Outer Rib Celery Diced 1/4" About 1/2 Cup
3 oz. Fresh Baby Spinach About 4 Cups
2 oz. Honey
3 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 oz. 3 Year Old Balsamic Vinegar
2 Medium to Large Fresh Peeled Garlic Cloves Diced Small
1/2 tsp. Fine Black Pepper
1 tbsp. Corn Starch
1 tbsp. Water Mix With Corn Starch
In a 10" in frying pan cook ground turkey on medium heat until done; stir frequently 12-16 minutes. Immediately take ground turkey and put into strainer to remove all excess liquid.
Peel onion and dice 1/4" Wash celery and dice 1/4" Wash and clean bell pepper remove all seeds, white membrane and stem dice 1/4" Peel carrot remove top and dice 1/4" Peel garlic and dice small
Add olive oil, onions, carrots, celery, bell pepper and garlic into 3 quart heavy gauge pot saute on low to medium heat for 20-25 minutes stirring frequently vegetables should be caramelized and tender.
Increase heat to medium and add balsamic vinegar stir for 30 seconds. Add fresh spinach cook for about 2 to 3 minutes. Turn off heat.
Add honey, coriander, chili powder, black pepper and Sal and Judy's Original Heart Smart Sauce stir well. Turn heat on to medium high and bring to a high simmer (just below boiling). Mix corn starch and water add to pot stir constantly for 2 minutes while sauce is at a high simmer
Blend mixture in pot with a hand/immersion blender until totally smooth takes about 1 minute. Add and stir in ground turkey let rest for about 5 minutes and serve with whole wheat buns.
